Woodworm Treatment in Cairo and Giza — Injected, Not Sprayed
Woodworm works inside the timber for years before anything shows on the surface, and by the time you see small round holes and flour-fine powder under the furniture the adults have already flown and the damage inside is far worse than what is visible. The detail
What you should know about Woodworm
The treatment is injection, not surface spray. We inject a compound into the holes themselves so it reaches the internal tunnels the larvae are working through, then treat the surface with a protective compound against reinfestation. The compound stays active inside the wood, so there is no need for us to come back.
Antiques and older pieces need a gentler approach, so we use compounds that do not change the color of the wood or affect the varnish. That gets agreed before any work starts.
One distinction matters. Woodworm and termites are not the same insect. Woodworm leaves small round exit holes and fine wood powder. Termites leave mud tubes on walls and hollow the timber out from the inside with no visible holes. The treatment is completely different, and termites are a job for a termite specialist, not for us. From the field
If the powder under the furniture is as fine as flour, it is woodworm. If it has small gritty grains like sand, or looks like dried mud, it is termites. That one difference decides the entire treatment.

What the warranty covers
- If the pest comes back inside the three years, we come back and treat it again at no cost to you
- Cover starts on the date of the visit, and that date is written on the certificate itself
- If the source turns out to be the neighbor's apartment, sealing the entry points inside your unit is covered
- The warranty transfers if you rent the unit out. It follows the property, not the person
What it does not cover
- Treating the neighbor's apartment itself. We seal the entry points on your side, but their apartment isn't ours to enter
- A new infestation shown to have come in after the visit with used furniture or a suitcase. Showing that is on us, not on you
- Fleas and ticks where the animal was not treated by a vet in parallel, because the cycle keeps running off the animal
- Mosquitoes: cover applies to the breeding sources we treated in and around the unit. One mosquito flying in through an open window is not a returning infestation
- A unit treated by another company during the warranty period
We write these exclusions down plainly because they do come up, and you are better off knowing now than finding out later.
